Charles Alexander, Double Springs discovered what it was like to have a fifth wheel pin break and a trailer loaded with logs become detached behind him.

Alexander was headed south on 195, northwest of Ashridge Tuesday morning when his trailer broke loose, hit his tractor, flipped and dumped the trailer load of logs into a ditch. Charles was not hurt, but he stated it did scare him to realize he no longer had control of his trailer.  Lyle wrecker of Haleyville made quick work of righting and clearing the trailer from the highway. No one was injured and the highway was quickly reopened to traffic.
